What is a house inspection?

A Home Inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination of a residential dwelling, performed for a fee, which is designed to identify observed defects within components of the dwelling. The examined components will include any combination of mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other essential systems or portions of the home, as identified and agreed upon by the Client and Inspector, prior to the inspection process.

A Home Inspection is intended to assist in the client’s evaluation of the overall condition of the dwelling. The inspection is based on an informed observation of the visible and apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date and time of the inspection. The inspection is not a prediction of future problems or system failures.
